No normal adult could get to the bed, never mind put an overnight bag down anywhere in the room (this is our guest room that we were so pleased with when we got it done last year)  She cannot see that she has a problem and it's driving me nuts

I wonder what she sees so entertaining in the phone book I better have a look!

 

My visitors from NZ have come and gone. We escaped LR Saturday at 0400 without mishap, but on the way back there on Wednesday morning we came up behind a car where people were running up to the passenger window, having a brief yak, and running back to the kerb. Dope, no doubt, but they did block the intersection when the light turned green. I just drove around them and carried on. Two more homicides down there yesterday. And not very encouraging to find the front glass doors at the Amtrak station had bullet holes.

 

I wished I had put them in a hotel, in spite of the MIL insisting they stay here. She wasn't very welcoming, in the end. I did explain her behavior, but still. Good to have friends around for a change, even it only was for a few days.

Had triple A  out here yesterday, somewhere along the trip we must have picked up a nail or something, so they put on the donut, and I had to go get a new tire today.

OMG my neighbourhood has this loopy women on it. She's whining about not getting pizza hut to deliver. They recently stopped delivering after dark. (not sure the time)

Well she then called a few other pizza places and they won't either. Saying it's for the safety of their drivers.

She's going on and on how she's not going to live in fear and how it's stupid they won't deliver when the store itself is in a bad neighbourhood. Well duh don't you think they know that and that is why they won't deliver anymore. 

She's going on about how she can't see any difference between delivering at 4 pm or 10 pm. The women is nuts!

 

She should look up how many sex offenders are in her area. I have I know where each one is and they aren't near me. It's also why I will not allow the school to take pictures of the Tornado. They post all over FB and link the school. These are not private groups either. Nothing like making kids a target. Oh and for the record these are high risk sex offenders a combination of repeat and violent offenders. Ya I'm not happy.

The school and the local library here don't even ask permission.  I am often finding photos of my daughter on FB or in the town paper that I didn't know were going to be there.  Small town Minnesota life I guess?  We don't have any living in the town proper because there is literally nowhere that is far enough from a playground or school.  The one on the outskirts was an acquaintance rape of an adult.  The sheriffs here hold meetings any time one of them moves and tells the public the nitty gritty of their crimes.

Oh when I first moved here I looked it all up. I wish I would have thought to look before moving here and before the Hillbilly bought this house. I'm pretty sure that some of these offenders are closer to the school then they should be. I don't care if they have a police officer at the school. These wacko's don't need to get into the school they can stalk the kids without getting close.

Packing, yet again. Ugh. I'm so tired of packing and unpacking. 

 

I'm taking a break from the forums.  Although I'm happy for the people in February and March being accepted from other service centers, knowing that some of us that filed at the same time have to wait up to 3-4 more months just for approval while we continue to see people from later priority dates get accepted, is too much for me to handle right now. I don't think my poor heart can take seeing April and May begin while we're still waiting. My life is completely stuck and all over the pace, and I'm getting so tired. So I need to push the reset button and take a mental leave.

I know a little about DNA...

And, I know a little about the criminal justice/ court system...

 

1- ancestry.com is in fact, highly inaccurate! 

 

2- the county clerk will subpoena anyone to go down for jury screening. As long as they have your name, they'll subpoena  you. You'll get filtered out at the screening. 

 

3- the notices always sound intimidating. But let me ask you this question...did they send it to you certified mail? How can they prove that you received it? 

 

4- even if they send it certified mail, where does it say that you absolutely must open it to read it? 

 

5- if you don't want jury duty, just ignore the notices.

  I know I've read those with Mexican blood complaining when they get classified as Native American/European.  I think it is a downfall of the testing ability to not be able to more accurately separate ethnic groups.  Shouldn't someone who is Cherokee be different than someone who is Mexican?  However, maybe the greater lesson is we are way more similar than we realize.

 

They are pretty broad categories from what I see.

I'm not certain, but I think it's mainly because of wrong information in the lineage....

A lot of their results are based on probability, and not probative facts.
