Well, almost if yesterday I had a premonition when I talked about OBGYNs ... I went in today and was greeted by the news that they no longer accept my insurance. I really had to be seen so I paid and my insurance will cover 80% of it, but this means I will need to find another OBGYN! I really like my current doctor. She delivered Mini-C and she's so awesome. I'm so so sad :(

Um Trophie dear....why don't you plant an apple 🍏 tree? Duh...

There's a couple of reasons, starting with that I'd need two..but ending with we have nowhere to put them. There aren't too many apples that fair well this far north.  I'm ordering apples from a farm farther south that comes around with a truck.

Maybe if we get rid of the weird nut tree in the front.  LOL.   Lots of our neighbors have crab apple trees and they do use the apples for cooking.

We've been kind of floating around the idea of putting a large addition in the back that would limit the already limited yard space we have.  My mother is pretty intent on living near us for part of the year and there is no acceptable housing stock for her in town and when something good comes up, it sells in a day or two.  She's not the decisive type.   Seems like as she gets older that having an in-law apartment might be the easiest thing.

However, construction costs for what we are looking at are probably at least the cost of our home (2 car garage with apartment above and connected via a mudroom/breezeway).  It can be harder to sell a  $200k+ home in our town.  However, housing prices have already gone up quite a bit since we bought ours and the nearby big town is selling new houses at 400-500k.  A lot of decision making to be had.

I'm about to get mine chopped off.  I had it red on the bottom and it's fun but with how much I work out, the colour just fades too fast with showers which now take twice as long.  I gotta wash the head in cold water before washing the rest of me.  PITA.

Some of the box reds at the drugstore might have better staying power.  So says the bottle red for many years.  I never washed on anything colder than hot.  However I mix my reds with developer, so some of that is probably the natural reds that come from lifting my brown.

I've been mistreating my blue/turquoise hair with hot water, multiple shampoos with stuff that would normally color strip.  I've been trying to get it light enough to go purple without bleaching, but my hair just holds on to color like nothing else.    My daughter still has pink in her hair from near a year ago!  She decided she didn't want to re-dye it.
