Earlier, Mrs. T-B. chauffeured Mama T-B. to latter's casa, anxious senior she man.

All is well there so far, relieved senior she man.

However, culprit river hasn't crested yet, affected nearby tributaries man.

I'm still trying to understand the sort of person who confines a cat in a garage and leaves it there, knowing it may drown. People suck.

 

Just back from ER with the MIL. In her new (uh-huh) spirit of being independent, she took herself to the Doc this am for a pacemaker check. Without her cane. On her way out, she slipped and fell on the wet sidewalk. Got her self up and drove home. Arrived here with blood pouring from her face, without her glasses. I called to see if they had found them, but no. Later a patient going in found them and her hearing aid, on the sidewalk out in front. The glasses are toast. The hearing aid may be ok.

 

I took her out to ER, she had many X-rays and a CT scan. They discharged her with a DX of closed head injury, she had 6 stitches to her face. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Glad the cat was rescued and the bullets dodged. 

 

 

Cdneh- This is nuts and she needs to get her licence taken from her. I don't know how you do it. I would have packed her bags and shipped her to her daughter long ago.

She sure does. She's lurching from disaster to disaster. Sooner or later, her luck will run out. Has to. Her daughter has just had knee replacement surgery, so is laid up for the foreseeable. She needs to lose a ton of weight. She's younger than me, and the same height, but she weighs nearly 200 lbs more than I do. No wonder her knees are bad. She's no use at the moment, or has she ever been.

 

The MIL is talking more and more about some sort of long term care. Which I am wholeheartedly encouraging. More than time, and in the meanwhile, we just keep papering over the shoddy bits. It's getting quite tiring.

I'm always kind of surprised that doctor's will do surgeries like that without requiring patients to lose weight first.  Then again, it is probably hard to lose weight when you can't walk.

Daughter now has brackets on all of her top teeth and due to the lasering, she didn't need oral surgery on them.  Wheee, closer to the finish line, which was projected to be around February.  We'll see how that goes.

 

On the drive home, there was a good 20+ miles of just me on the road and the only other humans being the farmers doing wheat harvest in the fields.  It is kind of cool to see because that same wheat makes the North Dakota Mill: Dakota Maid flour that I bought 50 lbs of today.

I was as well, and it her second knee they've just done. Her main issue with losing weight first that is she couldn't walk. Or do any sort of exercise at all, we are told. She also says she is gluten intolerant, lactose intolerant, and a whole host of other things.  But she will eat anything, tolerances notwithstanding. And plenty of it. I couldn't imagine weighing that much.

Rednecks sister & husband are in town for their annual visit, they retired, sold their house in Texas, bought  a RV and truck and spend their time going from state to state. They work at campsites in exchange for site rent, it's an awesome way to be & it's fab when they take 2 weeks off and visit 😁

1.  We were too hard on them,  we man.  They left it with ample provisions for the couple of days that they thought they'd be gone... but, of course, no one anticipated any of this, oj nie.  They appreciate the rescue and the good news about the casa that we couldn't have gotten had the Animal Control dude not done the reconnaissance, boon man.  They say that, in retrospect, they should have taken the cat, take miu man.  We told them that all's well that ends well, and now they can relax, chillax man.

 

2.  The "repeat" part has probably increased shampoo sales by untold proportions, brilliant marketing idea man.
