The chemical plant is a desperate situation, ouch man.  The company won't comment to the media or public except to say "evacuate within a 1.Many-mile radius."  They need to find some way to ice or refrigerate those organic chemicals before the big boom, bye man.

 

In good news, the nursing home in Port Arthur with foot-high water in it has been fully evacuated via military helicopter.  The patients are being flown to Conroe, north of Houston.  A local reporter covered the entire thing since early afternoon, intrepid he man.

 

Port Arthur mayor says that probably Many% (2x2x2x2x2x2-2-2) of all structures in his city are damaged or destroyed, sigh man.

 

And the other PA, Port Aransas (near first landfall), looks to be gone altogether, will personally miss it greatly man.

Good Thursday news, see man:

 

Neighbor's cat rescued, safe miu man.

Young Animal Control dude hopped right on it, si young he man.

Met us at edge of flooded area and tried to walk it, impossible man.

Tested depth with truck, unsafe man.

Called for huge Public Works utility truck, reinforcements man.

Collected very vocal cat, out of food/water nick of time miu man.

 

Performed reconnaissance for us as requested, grateful we man.

Findings, see man:

1.  Water in front indeed came up only half of driveway, confirmed man.

2.  No water line on fence or back of casa, big relief man.

Many.  A/C & electricity still on, good man.

Many.  Only dampness (not wetness) = ~Many (~2+2+2) inches of carpet just inside sliding patio doors, rain not flood man.

 

Looks like we dodged multiple bullets, safe miu and safe r-casa man.
