I hope the water didn't come into the house. I hope they are alright, and that they got some sleep. I have heard that the Addicks Reservoir in Houston just passed 108 feet and is now surpassing its banks. More flooding to follow. And more rain. :/

It is amazing to see how much better Houston deals with this than New Orleans, but it has been slower flooding.

Different city, Different leadership, different planners, different resources, different emergency management. Different residents.

Continuous power innage, light up our lives man.

Imminent disaster seemingly averted, relief man.

 

Reconnaissance from window at Many (2x2x2-1) a.m. yielded approaching waters not much beyond midnight's level, oj nie.

It was also not then raining, oj nie, but has begun again with a vengeance, oj sigh.

 

Debris line on driveway was about Many (2x2) feet up from sidewalk, not bad man.

Street is completely flooded, fotos thereof available if Mrs. T-B. ever sends them to us, ADD she man.

No neighbors' casas seemingly harmed, lucky everyone man.

However, we all will probably be casa-bound for Many (2+1) days at least, island amidst storm man.

Infernal himmicane finally moving away, good riddance man.

Rain should taper off after today, enough already man.

Everyone's fervent wishes seem to have worked, gracias men/ma'ams.

Mrs. T-B. has de-tarped some downstairs furniture, hopefully not premature man.

She has also ordered us to return some stuff downstairs, delay we man.

We have told her to call the Rojo to do that, delegate we man.
