Depends on whether the tile separates from the mortar and what the tile was put on (plywood or cement board).   You'll kind of have to wait and see.  

 

The baseboard trim is probably savable if wood.  

 

Our walk-out flooded a few times in Connecticut....

As long as you can contain the cat. My sister said afterward that is she had thought of it and had the time, she would have used her carry on luggage. The sort that fits under an airplane seat. Her cat didn't try and escape at all. I guess it depends on your cat.

Mrs. T-B. found our "Ike" radio, invaluable during Many (2+2+2) days of no-power-innage man.

We replaced the batteries with very fresh Radio Shack refugees, legacy man.

Sadly, we have all kinds of AA & AAA batteries, but few D, drat our shortsightedness man.

Well, carry-on stuff is either leather duffels or zipper roller-bags with no air holes, sigh man.

Cat would probably go bananas, upset miu man.

There's different levels of repair.

Depends on what you're willing to live with.

Depends on how much insurance you have, or receive from FEMA. 

 

Fresh water flood is better than salt water flood.

You wouldn't do it up all the way, leave a small gap for air, and secure it with a zip tie or similar.

From my experience in 9-11 and Sandy. 

I know for a fact that companies big and small are all dispatching all their resources. 

Some as charity, and some for profit.

Pallets and pallets of all kinds of drinks and water from Coca Cola and Pepsi, just dropped off on street corners. 

The Outback set up a maintenance ten to feed people. 

Every fast food chain sent food trucks. 

The Jacob Javitz center (it's huge), was loaded floor to ceiling with all kinds of supplies, provisions, donations, etc.

Every wireless provider was passing out free phone. 

Small mom and pop eateries set up shop in any corner they can find to feed everyone. 

And these are just the ones I remembered.

It took me about 6 days to get a respirator tho.....

 

 

I was hungry one cold night, and went to the Campbell soup bus. I got a bowl of soup, and I was like "Holy ####, this is absolutely delicious! This come out of a can??"

The guy said, "Don't be ridiculous, we're Campbell soup chefs. We made this fresh!"
