The consulate officers are trained to look for signs of Nikah marriages hidden as an engagement party.  They are aware that some religious ceremonies can join the couple in marriage even without a certificate. If there was no imam present at your party, then you have nothing to hide. Hope this helps.

no, there was no imam or a religious leader at the ceremony , just me and my fiancee and my parents and brother and sister and my aunt, we dress traditionally and we made some pictures where we did henna and we reput rings on each others fingers.

I did not propose here in front of my parents or in our house, but I took her to a nice romatic place I proposed she said yes I put  the ring in here finger , she did as well, the next day she wanted to see how enagement party are held in my country. we had dinner with family,we let them know about our engagement, and after dinner we had cake and we dress traditionnaly, and we enjoyed.

so based on that how could a CO suspect us.?

The thing is, consuls are trained to be doubtful of the cases they handle because that makes them look at the situation from a different perspective. If the consul suspects that this is not just a typical engagement party, it would be hard to convince them otherwise. That would be a tough case to prove. Best of luck!

according to you , what are the sign of a no typical enagement party? when people go to interview they do not underestimate CO but people want to explain how they did things,CO when they receive answers they way they do not want it, they are not convienced.

so if I want to apply for a visa or attend interview with aCO  I have to take some consoular officers courses.

I am very sure that I did things according to the visa class I am applying for, but what I hear here make me confused.

I read today on an arabic forum , that an Algerian woman was denied a CR visa because they were married since 2 years and they do not have children.

so what is the solution.?

I have heard of people getting refused in some other African countries due to this type of engagement party.  But I have also heard others getting approved.  My advice would be to have your fiancée make some wedding plans and for you to print copies of proof that you are excited for the wedding in the U.S.  Have her email some locations asking about reserving a day.  Maybe do some shopping for another ring for her,  just as proof that you definitely are not married.  Really try to show proof that the wedding is being planned by making reservations that you can show the CO.  Even if you are just planning a courthouse wedding, make plans for other places as well, then cancel after the interview.  Women are good at wedding planning so see if your fiancée has some ideas.
