Ok, here's what happened. My fiancee went to the hospital in Thailand. They asked for the sheet of paper that NVC is suppose to send to me(the petitioner). NVC never sent me a paper with two numbers and barcodes. But when I called and asked the first time. The operator gave me the case number and the invoice number. Later after receiving instructions from the US embassy in Laos, I read it and it said that my fiancee would need that sheet from the NVC and an appointment confirmation letter of the interview. I then called up NVC. They told me that they wasn't going to send me any paper. I told them why is the US embassy telling me that you the NVC will send me one with two barcodes. The operator then tells me that they do send me a sheet with two barcodes. So one minute they tell me that they don't send me a paper and the other minute they say that they do after I told them that. Lucky I wrote those two numbers down and told my fiancee because the hospital said that they need that paper. My fiancee told them that they never sent me one and just told me to write the numbers down. Thay accepted that but said if the numbers are incorrect, you would be wasting time and money doing the exam. So how is it that the NVC has no freaken clue about this?? It makes me kinda mad that the NVC doesn't even know what the heck they are talking about. Even now i haven't gotten a letter from the NVC  or an email about this even when the operator said that a email was sent to the supervisor about my letter. Lucky she was able to do her exam. I just hope those two numbers that I got from the NVC over the phone are the two numbers that she needed so that the interview will go smoothly for her. Btw, her interview is on my birthday. All I wish on my birthday is for my fiancee to get her visa so I can finally be with her again.

My US petitioner received the NVC letter. I can tell you that there are 2 barcodes but they don't show any numbers underneath them so I have no idea which is which. However, the information listed includes:

  • Case number (it starts with the 3 alphabets representing the embassy, not the WAC number)
  • USCIS receipt number (WAC number)
  • Principal applicant (foreign beneficiary's name)
  • Petitioner (US citizen fiance/e)
  • Interview location

The letters says to go http://nvc.state.gov/k1. Absolutely nothing about medical checkup.

I have never once read that NVC gives instructions for medical. Medical instructions is usually by the embassy. Here are the Packets 3 and 4 of US embassy in Thailand:

It's probably best that your fiance/e contacts the embassy before she wastes time and money.

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

I never said the NVC gave instructions for medical exams. It's the embassy that does.

Thanks for pointing that out to me. Aside from the NVC thing, apparently I somehow read Laos as Thailand too. My absolute apologies. Best of luck to your fiancee at her visa interview :)
