Hi, I've just joined this site and have a question which I'm sure will have already been answered but I'm not sure of my next step.

I've received my letter from the US embassy in London and have sent off for my police certificate and I've filled in the ds160 online and printed that off. Do  I need to wait until my police certificate gets back to me (it said approx 10 days) before I book my medical? And also once I book the medical, do I go ahead with the "readiness for interview" part or attend the medical THEN make the interview appointment? It's not very clear on the US embassy site. Thanks for your help 😁

Yep when I rang to arrange my medical they asked me if I had obtained my police certificate 😁after I booked medical then the readiness application can be completed, arrange medical first then leave 5-7 days between arranging your actual interview so as your medical results can be sent to embassy with time to spare ☺️ Good luck to you 😉

You can book the medical for a date that allows time for you to receive the police certificate. If they ask when you call, say yes you have it. Once the medical date is secured, then you can do readiness form if you have all your documents including I-134,  birth certificate etc. Do check the list of documents and read the details like parent names on birth certificate and passport having six months left on it past your intended entry date. Some people never read the details and get to their interview lacking enough to get approved that day.

Once you have submitted Readiness, then book an interview. As stated above, allow time between medical date and interview date so your results will be at the embassy.
