Hi everyone,

I'm hoping that somebody can assist me with my question here.

A Japanese police certificate is sealed in the envelope, so I sent NVC the scanned copy of back and front of the envelope along with other documents on May 31.

Today I received RFE letter asking for a Japanese police certificate although the copy of envelope was in the original package.

Does anyone know if I need to send the original to NVC? Is that what they are asking for? Isn't the copy sufficient like other documents?

Call NVC to confirm.  I think it's an automated email checklist.

We sent my wife's ORIGINAL police certificate to NVC in the same package with AOS/IV envelope.

We also received an email checklist asking for the police certificate even though we sent it with everything else.

We called NVC, and was told our case was completed and were told to just bring the original police certificate to the Tokyo embassy for our interview.

Since we already sent the original to NVC, my wife has to go get another police certificate so that we can have an original sealed one ready for the interview.
