Green card expire on may and waiting for citizenship interview since December 2016

I m really worried about my brother his green card got expire in may 2017 and he file his citizenship last year since December 2016 we r waiting for his interview but still in line for interview and his green card is already expire what should we do now ?can we still apply for his green card renewel till he get his interview and what else we can do????

He should be fine - he has a case in progress.

 

From a quick google: "You are still a permanent resident, even if your green card has expired. On that basis, many people have chosen to simply apply for U.S. citizenship after their green card has expired, or not bother to renew the green card if it expires while they're waiting for a USCIS decision on their citizenship application."

He should be fine. I remember reading about someone in the same situation in here saying that he/she made an infopass and got an extension stamped on their passport. Maybe something he could look into?

He called uscis they told him to get the info pass appointment and they will give him extention for 6 month but since yesterday he is trying to get appointment but no luck soo my question is should we email uscis and tell them wats going on ???

He got the info pass appoinment at 12:05am thanks for ur help
