Hi All,

I appeared in an interview for naturalization on July first week in Baltimore office, i pass the test of English, history and government.

On the result sheet Instead of congratulation, officer checked A decision cannot yet be made about your application. Officer suggested

that he will mail the decision in mail. Same thing happened with my wife case too, with another officer on same day.

Is this usual process, i am worried about it. Could any one please suggest, if this happen to them too.

Till when i should wait for the letter ? This is over two weeks, is this OK to make the info pass appointment ?

Please suggest any thing.

Thanks!

@real_June_2017 hi I just had my interview (7-20) as well and got the same letter. The officer said not to be concerned . She said I was approved and will get the letter in the mail. She did tell me why she had to give me that letter but to honest I didn't really understand. She stated in cases where the applicant is pregnant or is a student they would give those types of approved on the spot letters. Maybe due to their time constraints , I don't know. And sometimes it has to be reviewed by a supervisor before it gets a final sign off.

I would try not to worry though.

I got the same letter  "decision cannot be made" and was told I'd get a decision in the mail within 30 days. That was on Wednesday 12th July, Friday 21st July my case status was updated online to "We scheduled your oath ceremony". I wouldn't worry too much about it unless there are any known issues with your application.
