Hi everyone,

Has anyone got his passport stamped in Dallas area, I'm planning to see an immigration officer this thursday for this matter.

Will I be able to get a stamp even though I got my extension letter, but I will be traveling overseas and I would feel comfortable if I get that stamp.

Anyone in Dallas????

Stamped for what? (EAD, I-551)? What type of visa did you enter on? Do you have a green-card? Did you file for advance poroll during the wait for green card on a K-1 visa?

Your profile and timelines lack the info to help answer your question.

@YuAndDan: this is the removing for conditions section and he talks about the extention letter, so it can be assumed it is the I751 removal of conditions he applied for.

@sahir: I don't know about Dallas, TX, but general consent on this site is that USCIS field offices very rarely stamp passports with the I551 stamp (after submitting the I751). There was one case when the stamp was granted and that was because the greencard was lost. You will probably have to present good reasons for your request to have the passport stamped. Good luck.

Anyone in Dallas????

They put such a stamp (I-551) on my wife's passport, Feb 27 this year, at the Dallas office. They hand wrote "I-751 pending" above the stamp.
