After getting the MNL#

Good day to all. Finally after 10 days of NOA2. We finally got our MNL # from NVC. Currently, our status from CEAC is "at NVC". I have read somewhere that I can schedule the interview and medical with just the MNL#. I searched but most results are outdated. Thank you in advance for the help.

Congrats! When did you received your NOA2? Sorry to say that I have no idea. And currently waiting for my NOA2.

You can complete the DS-160, pay the MRV fee, and schedule the interview online. Personally I'd wait until the case is at USEM to schedule the interview, but you can do so earlier if you choose....just schedule far enough in advance for the case to arrive (i.e. 30+ days).

 

There's no scheduling of the medical exam at SLEC. You can register for it online, but it's still a walk-in.

First thing you do is pay for your interview. Then schedule the interview. Be sure to print off a copy of the confirmation as you will need it for the medical. Next you complete the DS-160. Then schedule the medical. Then start thinking when you want to complete CFO.

 

No need to wait for the case to arrive from NVC. You will not be able to be ahead of the schedule for the paperwork to arrive from NVC. That process is sped up as most of your records are now digital. You schedule your medical online as it gives you the opportunity to finish the paperwork online before arriving, saving you time.

Once you have your account/profile setup and ready to schedule there will be a calendar showing all available dates.  People in general can not see this calendar.

Is it ok to have the medical less than 1 week before the interview? Our interview date is Aug 22. And my fiancee is planning her medical on the 17th and 18th of August

Thank your for the quick response. August 17 and 18 is thursday and friday. Then the interview is the following tuesday. Is it not risky? Too close to the interview date that if she encounters problems with the medical, there'll be no time to fix them. Please advise. Thanks.

The only problem is the testing for TB. If she is clear then expect a 2 day medical and your interview can stay as schedule. If they need to do additional testing then the interview will need to be rescheduled. You'll work with SLEC for the testing and rescheduling.

Shouldn't be an issue. If there is an issue with the medical, my money would be on TB (SLEC is very strict with TB). That would result in a 3 day sputum collection period followed by 60 days for a negative result (or 6 months for treatment if it is positive). At that point, it's better to reschedule the interview (or accept that you will get a 221g pending a clean medical).

Thank you all for the response. I have booked the hotel stay of my fiancee already Aug17 and 18 near St. Luke's MC. Does SLMC send the results to Usem electronically or by mail?

SLEC will give your fiancee a sealed envelope with the results to take to the interview. It's clearly marked "DO NOT OPEN".
