How do i book the biometrics appointment?

Does my biometrics effect how fast my case is looked at? E.g. If I do my biometrics 3 weeks later will my case be delayed by 3 weeks?

02/13/18....Interviewed and Approved for 2 Year GC! :jest:   - Day 217

02/14/18....We have Ordered your new card (2 Year GC)!  - Day 218

02/15/18....Card Mailed (2 Year GC)!  - Day 219

 

 

Was a stressful journey full of ups and downs, cya in 2020 VJ. I'll be back when it's time to begin the dreaded I-751. Biggest advice - make sure you have a TON of evidence, be completely honest and you'll be fine. Good luck everyone! =)

I do not know. It did not effect the time I got my EAD/AP I got mine within 64 days but that was when it went pretty quick not like now when it is around 100 days. With the AOS in general I do not know. I would imagine if you did it later that it might take a little bit longer but it's impossible to say how much it would effect it. 

 

I rescheduled mine because I was in Sweden at the time. Don't remember how long after my original date that I actually went.

I'm in the same boat as you. My local office is in Philadelphia and we're out in California from August 6th - 20th. Really, really hoping the appointment isn't for when I'm in CA!!

I think I heard of one case here on VJ where a person from Florida was at vacation in NYC and walked into one of the offices there and had his biometrics done. I wonder if that's actually possible or if I just remember it wrong.

Ah I see. Yeah the only thing I care about right now is the EAD/AP. I don't really care how long the whole GC process takes, as long as I get my EAD within the 60 day mark I'd be extremely happy. I just want to work and have an income. I feel so useless right now!

 

However it seems like everyone is getting theirs around the 100 day mark now :(

Yeah you can forget about getting it within 60 days from NOA1.

Why're they so slow with the EAD/APs now?

Volume probably. They have been slow for a while. It's not getting better by the fact that it is now summer and some of them will be on vacation.

Sucks! So I should expect the EAD/AP around 100 days from NOA1?

 I remember the same thing, except I don't remember where they were from. I do remember they were states away from their appointment location.
