Yeah, we must have. I've checked this old itinerary, and it said there's no way to fly without a visa. So I guess the travel agency made that for my mom and me, because she has no clue!

There's no comment field, but I'll submit the same date as for the flight back then and hope they'll be fine!

You'll be fine. Many of the instructions for the DS-160 says that if you are not sure about a date, an approximate date is perfectly fine.
