Issues and Problems

I don't think you have any problems with immigration but perhaps you just like to be involved with things perhaps you have been through the process yourself. What I find a little perplexing is that you do not seem to be a positive person and seem to be attacking people on different boards. Thats fine. What ever your problem is with people or how you deal with them, I have a different manner. I think unless you have something positive and supportive to say, being quiet is a virtue. I don't think your comments are caring or uplifting and even though it seems fun for you to bash and hurt people, it doesn't affect me. I love NORTH AFRICA.. Algeria and Morocco and find the people amazing. I am also supportive of people loving and living as they choose and negativity comes from unhappiness. You must be a very very unhappy person... and I do not know for what reason.. but you are.

You do not know peezy, but I do. You couldn't be further from the truth.

And if you want a board where everything is cheeful and positive, then you have come to the wrong place. Sometimes saying the truth is more helpful and honest than remaining quiet. Remember its not about only what the OP is saying, but for all the noobs who come along after researching information for their case. A debate will produce more information than a cheerleading thread.

We are here to get support and help with immigration problems and give support to others ( at least I am here for that)

There are many faces of visa journey. Perhaps after you have been here a while you will get to know the people who post and what's the real deal here.

Well... For me I want to be positive to others and build them up. If there is something to say, I think it can be said in a kind manner.. even if the news is going to hurt the other people.

Yes, some of these people are going to face denials. Yes, some of the consulates are going to be right on denying cases and some of them will make mistakes, separating people that love each other and really adore each other. I just feel that for every sure fire situation that seems so cut and dried, there are going to be exceptions to the rule. Being close in age is NOT a guarantee of a relationship between sponsors and sponsees evidenced by divorces and the expression lawriat or marriage blanche. There are enough very hard things in this life to face and I think it important to deliver truth with hope. Things may not work out for people.. things may not work out for me.. but I never want to stand in the face of someone who is holding their heart in their hands and is really in love and shatter their feelings.

Yes I think that warnings need to be given....and I am open to any comments anyone wants to give me. I just personally like to build people up, look for the positive and the good things that are born in pain and disappointment

Cheers

KAT

I'd like to know what tab tab means. I'd ask a Morroccan, but they apparantly wouldn't know.

IK HOU VAN JOU, MARK

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

You seem to think there is some contest between Algeria and Morocco, and believe me, you're the only contestant. I could give a rats azz. Only one person called herself an expert, and it wasn't me. You can love North Africa/NORTH AFRICA, Algeria/ALGERIA, Morocco/MOROCCO all you want, that does not a visa make.

You are intent on gender bias and I think that's b.s. in light of the reality of MENA marriages. You can scream sexism all you want, but bring a 52 year old MENA woman to a 26 year old MENA dude and tell him this is who he will be marrying, and you'll see one amazing disappearing act.

BTW, what is your insistence Moroccans and Algerians can't understand each other? You're really way off with that. tab tab is common, there isn't some monopoly on the phrase. While it's algerian in origin, my BIL says it amongst his friends all the time.

How can one claim God cares to judge a fornicator over judging a lying, conniving bully? I guess you would if you are the lying, conniving bully.

Well it can also mean sometime a little less flattering that just full of bs...

And really you should try not to make blanket statments that Moroccans cannot understand. Some Moroccans are quite fluent in a variety of dialects not just Moroccan Darija.

Funny post from a message board

I wonder if people will understand what the girl is trying to say.. I was horrified

Tberguat 21 November 2005 11:57 21 November 2005 11:57

If you see yourself you want to settle in this country and have a future here, I agree in marrying a US citizen just for green card, and suffer emotionally for couple years and secure your future..., things these days are only getting harder for the illigal immigrants, they even been called terrorists , because the paths to legalize yourself here are so long and uncertain. If your employer want to sponsor you it will take years and years I think between 7 to 10yrs and you have to stuck with that same employer for years with low pay and sometimes no benifits. If you have a US citizen child, he has to be 21yrs old before he/she can apply for you, so the only way is marriage!!

I remember back in the early nineties, the new comers had to find the least attractive woman in the city, all the 200lbs and up were married to Moroccan men, happy with their little toys just arrived from back home (skhoun) that he tells her horror stories about what had happened to him back home and how miserable he was back in Morocco so she'll love him and feel sorry for him and do all possible way for him not to get deported, and she will never dare to think visiting Morocco with him!! They use to call the period of their marriage "passer le service millitaire" ... If they see an ugly, old fat lady (shayta 3la 7babha) she will be perfect for lwri9at.

So, the only way to build a future here and be one of the crowd, go ahead do it, the only thing is the ugly, fat, old ladies 3a9o ..
