No one can really say how long the background check takes to be completed. Some checks are more extensive than others. According to your timeline, you filed about a month ago, so going by current average NOA2 waiting times, you could be waiting anywhere between 2-3 more months before you hear back from USCIS.

Call USCIS and ask to speak to a L2 Officer.  At least you can ask them if they have received your request and any other info they can give.
