I don't get your hostility, but anyway, she got someone else free tuition recently. You mentioned money. I'm simply pointing out your 20k figure isn't set in stone. You say the meeting won't be waived because she is capable of travel. Yes, she can travel.....but where is she supposed to travel? I can't travel to a third country to meet her, so where should she travel and why, if not the usa.

Advice on types of visas is why I am here.

You have been given all of the advice possible.  You can't go to Canada or perhaps somewhere in the Caribbean?  Mexico?

Has she tried to get a visa? You thinking she won't qualify is not enough...

She has not tried to get a visa. Agent/advisors in the area say a B visa is impossible unless she was rich, which she isn;t. She owns a car and a small plot of undeveloped land that isn;t worth much.

So what are you suggesting?

She needs to try before a waiver would be given

Forget the K-1 visa. You seem to think it's the only choice. Wait until you are well enough to travel, go and meet her, if things go well get married either then or on a subsequent visit and file for a spouse visa. You have the sat of your lives ahead of you abc you've not even met yet so what's the rush? Or have you considered moving to Thailand?

In terms of medical help and care, this isn't really the forum for such advice but my suggestion would be to contact the American Heart Association as they have a good support network and can put you in touch with local caregivers. I'd rather have someone local who understands the condition caring for me post-surgery than a random friend of a friend who may or may not be qualified to provide the care I need.

Right now I see very few choices. I may never be cleared to travel, but had planned on going there often after we are married. Those plans are highly doubtful now. The comments about haven't met yet so what is the rush? Thee rush is I need help for my recovery. I'll need more help after oral surgery, There is no guarantee I will ever be able to travel to her, so I came here for visa advice. As far as not having physically met, to me it is irrelevant since I KNOW her. I video chat her several times a day. Had investigators involved at one point. She has never asked me for a dime and cries even on vid chat as she worries about me endlessly. So my question would be what is the delay, not what is the rush. I have heaart problems that can worsen any minute. My COPD is worsening. I have no idea how much longer I will live, so to me there is a huge rush. If this heart problem hadn't happened, I'd already be in Thailand and our wedding would be in just over a week.

As far as the AHA, I will contact them. It is unlikely I can afford their caregivers, which isn't so much what I need anyway. I can't drive, so I can't go buy my groceries. I can't clean the kitchen or do laundry without a ton of effort and resting during the process. I can't stand long enough to cook a decent meal, so it is pop some ####### in the microwave and go lay down, or at least sit leaning back, and wait for the microwave to ready something I I'm not going to like anyway. I can't walk to the mailbox yet. Walking around the neighborhood would require a walking partner if I got in trouble. The meds make all food taste the same, just a different texture. Any can of soup taste like the one beside it. Ham sandwich or turkey sandwich, which takes me an hour to make and rest and make, tastes the same. Coughing after heart surgery is ungodly painful. I have to hug a special pillow as hard as I can, so with COPD the pillow is neverr far from me. They need to create an easy process to help people like me, not throw up barriers at every turn. My gf/wife would make the daily survival struggle free. She is willing to do it. She wants to do it. The government should enact a way to do it. We/me are not trying to beat the system. I'm just trying to get the immediate and long term help I need, have someone willing to do it, but she can't because she wasn't born in the right place. Allowing a simple waiver to the meeting face to face, allowing a loved one to come help care for me while  K-1 is processed, simple things to allow people needing help to get it. And for the rule book thumpers in the crowd, exceptions to rules are made all the time to fit the situation. Does Loretta Lynch granting a visa to someone ring a bell? Maybe I should ask my congress person for help.

As stated, I've not been able to get help locally, from anyone or organization.

The meeting requirement in our modern age is rather pointless  if you asked me. You cam know a person quite well and fall in love using modern tech, such as skype. Flying to Thailand, I simply can't do, but under the rules I could fly there, take a few pics at the airport and get on the next plane home.

I do not think my girllfriend would be granted a tourist visa since  she doesn't have a real reason to return. A small plot of empty farmland she rarely sees anyway. II'm hoping an I-601 might help

1.  Are you sure you have exhausted all possible sources for help?

2.  It doesn't matter if you like the meeting requirement or not.  They are very serious, about real marriages.  No, it isn't as easy as taking a few pictures.

3.  No ties to her country = No tourist visa.

Mobile to McAllen TX is a 12 hour drive. Maybe an acquaintance for hire could drive you there, especially if your health outlook improves a tiny bit. In the meantime she can apply for a Mexico visa and if she's turned down then that will be further proof that she can't travel to meet you and be used as evidence in the waiver to meet in person.

Many years ago, my father had open heart surgery and COPD. We had to drive him 3 hours back and forth btwn two cities for surgery, recovery, and follow ups. Your situation might be more serious.

If you need as much help as you say you do, what use would a student visa be? How could she do all that if she's at school all day? How could she study after classes for tests and assessments?

You asked for visa advice. Unfortunately for you the advice was not what you wanted to hear. That doesn't make it wrong nor does it mean those giving the advice are being cruel. Now more than ever it's extremely difficult for people to immigrate here. Rules are being tightened and strengthened all the time. Processing times are getting longer.

As has been said before, even if you were able to get a waiver for "meeting in person" requirement, it would be about a year before she could come here on a K-1. Your immediate need for help is a separate issue. It seems you are able to use a computer for extended periods with no problem so I'm sure you will be able to google services provided on a local level for people who struggle with day-to-day tasks, be it charities, volunteers, DSHS, or whoever.

I did read of someone who was granted a waiver for the "meeting in person" requirement on health grounds and that was someone who was on a ventilator, I believe. I'll see if I can find what I read and link to it.

I also personally know a family where a family-based visa was expedited on health grounds and that was because the USC petitioner was due to undergo a liver transplant and the chances of survival were low. Fortunately it all went well.

Immigration is neither easy nor quick and while there are some waivers for certain items, it takes extreme proof and documentation to get approved for those. Personally.... I don't see how she's being hostile. She's giving you relevant information. It's very unlikely, almost impossible for her to get the visiting requirement waived. It sucks how many requirements there are in this process, but it is what it is. You might not be happy with the answers but it's reality.

When we first met... <3 8/2015 - First met. 10/6/2015 - Started dating. 9/23/2016 - His first visit! 12/23/2016 - Left America. 12/25/2016 - Landed in Australia!  K1 Visa 3/23/17 - I-129F sent. 4/3/17 - NOA1 email confirmation/notice date. 4/7/17 - NOA1 hard copy received!  8/2/17 - Contacted USCIS and spoke with a Tier-2 officer, also contacted my senator. 8/3/17 - Constituent Advocate contacted me and I put in an inquiry on my case. 8/3/17 NOA2 Approved the day after I contacted the Tier-2 officer. 8/7/17 - NOA2 hard copy received! (The same day I received an email from my senators office that I was approved) NVC 8/24/17 - NVC received our case. 8/24/17 - Case number received via email. 8/24/17 - Left the NVC to the consulate Consulate  9/4/17   -  Consulate recieved. 9/4/17   -  Packet 3 received. 9/5/17   -  Packet 3 sent! 9/7/17   -  Packet 4 received. 9/7/17   -  Packet 4 sent!  9/7/17   -  Medical scheduled for September 14th, 10:45 AEST. 9/7/17   -  Interview Scheduled for September 26th, 8:30 AEST.  9/14/17 -  Medical completed. 9/26/17 -  Interview complete. I came here for visa advice, not relationship advice, nor life advice, and certainly not to be insulted by you. Shopping, cooking, and cleaning doesn't make someone a servant. She is a life partner and I would do whatever I could to help her if she was sick, just as she will for me. The honest advice you mention, 99% of it has been wait until you are feeling better, visa takes time, and similar useless blathered to be topped off by  you giving a parting insult.

I came here looking for help mainly regarding visa waivers and got a valuable bit of advice on how to increase the chances of getting a face to face waiver by having her file and be denied a tourist visa. To the author of that, thank you. It at least increases my odds slightly.

You have been a complete jerk. Good luck to you

You've been given help. People have explained the options to you and you don't seem to agree with them.

It's all been explained to you and either way it will take a while. Their is nothing that can get your girlfriend a visa instantly. It takes a bit of time even with waivers and even if you somehow got it expedited.
