4 texts and emails all saying I-797

I got my NOA1 text and emails a couple hours ago. I received 4 emails and texts saying "official receipt notice (form I-797)", but the receipt number in each text is different.

 

Is this normal?

Congrats! And yes, since every form you sent is for diffrent purpose they will have different numbers.

Thanks, oh I see. Just a bit worried they all say I-797 and not their actual form names

Don't  be, you can go online to the uscis website and check your case status, there you will see the actual form number and status. Also in about a week you will get you NOA1 in the mail so you will have it in a hard copy as well 🤗

Awesome, thanks! How can i go online and check the status? I didn't receive any login details

You don't need any just the number you got on your receipts,

Go to https://www.uscis.gov than go to check my case status, you can also create a user and add all your case numbers and check for updates ☺

Just typed in the number into their website and it says:

 

 

• My Case Status does not recognize the receipt number entered. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

 

What should i do?

GM don't worry USCIS must not have update ur case as yet online, you can try back before the week is out or just continue to try once they update u will be able to see ur case n check status. It's normal for that to happen.

It usually takes 24-48 hours for the case status to be updated online in my experience.

It took about a week for ours to show up on the check status page. You should see it in a few days. Congratulations!
