K1 age difference??

Has anyone had any experience with age difference where the girl is older? In our case I am 9 years older than my fiancé and I'm worried this might be a red flag? 

 

We have plenty of evidence of our relationship. I am in the U.K. and he is an American citizen.

Probably not. A lot of people on here have age differences whether from 3-4 years up to 20 years.

 

For certain embassies this is a non issue really. In high fraud countries, it can raise the alarm and suspicion. 

 

For you, shouldn't worry to much honestly about that.

I am 4 years older than my now husband - don't think it is an issue at all. All they care about at the interview is that you KNOW your fiancee...never asked about age, so don't see that it is a factor at all!

My wife is six years older than me and we had no issues.  Other than that, I agree with the responses above.

I'm 9 years older than my husband and I came on a K1 visa.

Only thing that might be a flag regarding age at low fraud embassies is usually if the woman is passed child bearing age and the husband has no children - even then everything can always be explained at an interview. I see no problems for you on that matter.

I'm 9 years older than my husband as well.  I'm a Canadian citizen; he's the US citizen.

 

I honestly forget about our age difference for the most part, since it isn't visibly apparent and if anything, he's the "old man" of the relationship.

 

I think it's far more important that you share the same values, interests and goals than the same age bracket.

 

Of course, we haven't interviewed yet, so we'll see if the IO feels the same way.

I'm 2 years older than my fiance, and there was no issues getting our approval whatsoever
