No, there isn't a packet 3 receipt. However, the packet 3 paperwork will have his name on it. I'm not sure if CIB bank needs this in order to accept payment for the visa and issue a receipt.

I dont want to be a Pain in the A$$.. but can any of you Ask if your SO needed to show the Bank anything????

I just asked my hubby........and he said that he didn't take have to show them anything from the packet 3 papers. He just said that I want to pay $100 to the Cairo embassy for a visa.....he said that your husband just needs to show his passport so that they issue the receipt with his name spelled correctly (cuz you never know). They will give him 2 receipts....one 2 keep and one to send with the packet 3 stuff.

Dee, my husband paid at a CIB in Alex. So, yes, they have them in Alex.

Oh, I see the Amman embassy isn't the only one that answers emails in cryptic code....where the hell do they get these people and why can't they give straight friggin' answers?!? I wonder if there is like special training these "email answerers" go through before they work in the embassy....it's all a big joke!

well, at this point i think we should just mail it in... BUT make a bunch of copies...

I guess I can even print the email of them telling me to mail it in???

I didnt contact the Senator yet.. cause It was the weekend and then todaya holiday.. I was gonna call on Tuesday.. But now that I have gotten a reply I dont need to??

I wouldnt send it in till he gets his packet. He needs to fill out the K-3 visa application form. I would e-mail them again and tell them to send packet 3 again. That you DO NOT have the packet resend it
