Good afternoon folks!

So, yesterday I received the news that I was accepted in law school, but my AOS is still pending. I got a scholarship, but it doesn't cover everything. Can I get any kind of student loans while AOS is pending? I have valid EAD

Also, can I use the fact that I was accepted in school to expedite the processing of my I-485? It has been 169 days, no changes since biometrics. I'm a K-1 Visa holder.

Thank you in advance!

Your only option at this moment is international students loan. You will need a cosigner with an income and good credit score

once you become a PR You can apply for FAFSA and federal loans (direct and indirect) but as long as you are pending you can't really get anything

They are not so much more expensive but the requirements are bigger. Some of them require letters of recommendation from US citizens and/or 2 cosigners.. and also some schools don't even accept them. You can find out on this page
