Hi all,

We recently got married in the court in Mexico and now have our acta de matrimonio.  Will USCIS accept a translation from a perito traductor in Mexico or does it have to come from a perito in the United States?

For the consulate you don't need to translate it, as long as its in english or Spanish, someone posted about that recently.

For those who did translate, they said they did it themselves or had a family member do it and included a letter stating they're competent to translate.

Guys I am asking about for when I process my wife's spousal green card not about consulates.  Another thing that came up too is that I would need her birth certificate translated to English too correct?

when your going to process the petition yes the marriage certificate has to be translated. And from what i understand is that right now they do not need her birth certificate,They will need your wife  birth certificate at the consulate and it does not need to be translated because they speak both english and spanish.

One more thing, does immigration require me to register this Mexican wedding in my nearest USA county which would be Nogales,Santa Cruz County?  We live in Nogales,Sonora and I cross everyday into the Arizona to work.

There is no such registration requirement.  My wife and I were married in Taiwan in 2015. No registration in US required.

That acta is perfect, no need to register in the U.S. You just need all your vital records translated to English :) marriage certificate, birth certificate, divorce decree (if applies) affidavits, police clearance, Basically anything official you submit in Spanish has to be in English as well. we hired a professional translator (friend's mom) but it is not a requirement, anyone with proper English knowledge can do it, although I do recommend you ask / check online for the proper terminology since it has some legal lingo. If you need further help I have copies of my records translations I can send for reference. Good luck!
