What do you recommend for evidence of relationship for the embassy interview?

We have a dozen or so photos of us together and with family & friends. We also have proof of joint cell phone account, joint credit card account, joint auto and renters insurance, and a joint apartment lease.

Do you think this will be sufficient? Or should we also print text history and Facebook posts?

Just want to make sure our bases are covered for the interview.

Thank you in advance for your input!

it's interesting that the US embassy in CA require proof of the relationship.

If you look at the official list of documents for the embassy in the UK, it does not state anywhere that we need to provide that at the interview. Very strange.

Hi,

I believe this will the enough to prove your relationship.

From the other blogs and forums I have read, you just need to prove that you keep in constant contact with your fiancé,  and you have a genuine relationship. Also, flight ticket from your visit is also considered a proof of relationship.

It's not too strange. Different countries have variations of the requirements.

You're correct that the U.K. office does not explicitly ask for proof or evidence of relationship. Canada does explicitly ask for it.

Maybe it has to do with proximity, or perhaps they've had problems with K1 abuse in the past. Who knows. I just want my fiancé to be granted a visa so he can come home.

Sweden requires it too. I brought boarding passes from trips we've done together, receipt for flowers he sent, pictures, printout of messages we've sent on Hangout, joint car insurance.

As someone else said, the UK doesn't require any proof, but I took a bunch of stuff anyway - I'd always rather be prepared!

Photos are good, but if you have any cards/letters etc that you've sent each other with dated post marks on, those are always helpful. If it's easy enough to get phone logs and a few pages of messages, then I'd recommend that too. And of course, if you have any flight itineraries or hotel bookings for trips you've taken together, that always goes a long way!

Side note, but I found this funny... the lady who interviewed me in the UK told me that she used to work in the US Embassy in Mexico, and someone once sent a DVD in their original application labelled "proof of physical relationship". I can confirm that she did NOT watch it to find out what was on it.
