Even if they did it's moot, of the 48 caucusing Dems, there's more than a few dozen who would filibuster any repeal effort of Obamacare.

But they don't (to my knowledge)...so the fact that the Dems "could" filibuster is pretty pointless since the Republicans can't even get to that point.

They have less than 51. The fact that they don't have a "filibuster proof" majority is pointless since they don't even have a majority.

This is coming from me who is a current Federal Employe. We are already expecting a shutdown come the start of the FY due to everything going on up in Washington.

Demand the state of California pay your salary.

Why not? They do it for to the Federal government.

Ain't it the truth though? On top of it all, you have to work for free until the politicians sort out the budget. One quick way to resolve that would be to stop payment of the salary of everyone involved in government, starting with the representatives.

I wish we could, the pension would be better at least. What's funny is that I work at a well known university that deals with Seismic issues and the majority(80%) of the Seismic Department budget comes from the Feds. The rest of it comes from the state of California.

I am not working for free because they have already passed a Continuing Resolution to cover the budget up until the end of the Fiscal Year. So we are good until then at least.
