Julie do you know of anyways if i can submit it.. did they send you a RFE? its the only paper that im waiting. thank you.

Hi,

My mother's documents are all good besides from the marriage certificate which has a lot of errors, last name spelling even the date of my mom's birthday.  This is what they gave us to correct and they said it will take 3-4 months. I'm very concerned here.

my original Birthcertificate is blurred (copy from nso) but they were able to get me a clear copy at the municipal registry. My parents Birth Certificate and Marriage Certificate are ok.... except for the marriage date in my birth certificate. its originally Jan 10,.. but on my birth certificate its January 13. USCIS gave me until may.. but when they went to nso they can fix it around 4 to 6 months. i cant wait for it. ill be mailing my documents this end of february hoping everything will be ok. and hope they wont notice the date... Hi Nix and Lai,

I still don't have my NVC case number. I will call them on first week of March if I haven't receive it this month.

I know 4 to 6 months is a long wait. I'm trying to see if there is a way to make it faster.

Lane,

they told my mom that they can fix it but they need to wait for atleast 4 to 6 months. because they told them and they show them the RFE that it should be submitted before may. they said they cant do anything else but to wait. so i just told them to get everything original and clear copy and send it to me. anyways my husband told me that its only 3 days difference... what they want to know if its really my parents who i am petitioning. they also ask a cenomar for my dad. which would show he only married once and its my mother. im just hoping everything will be ok.

Received our NOA2 approval today!

Texas Service Center.

Our PD is July 18.

NOA2 dated 1/31, so our wait was almost 6.5 months exactly.

Good luck to everyone still waiting on NOA2 - not much longer now! Looks like Texas is serving mid-July, at least.

Hi Maranda,

Do you already have your NVC case number?

Hi Lane,

Nope, nothing yet. I'm anticipating the full 30 days wait time, or having to try to contact them after 30 days like the NOA2 said, if I remember right.

Yeah. That's what I'm going to do as well.

Some people they called early and did not wait for 30 days, they were able to get the case number that soon.

Hi! May I ask what you mean by legibility? My parents' marriage date on my birth certificate is different than the one stated on their marriage certificate? Thanks.

I have the same problem too. I will petition my mom soon but i want to fix this first before i file it. on my birth certificate the year of their marriage is wrong instead of 1983 its 1982. so she went at the civil registrar at the city where I was born. and the person said we will need and attorney and a hearing and we're talkin bout big money.. I was like what?????? obviously they just want something. Typo error on birth certificate is pretty norm in the Philippines that's why they passed the law that you dont need a hearing if there is a mistake on your certificate. I dont know what to do right now. . If anyone had the same experience please share it with us. really appreciate it. thank you.
