Submit ds160 while case is still in transit

Is it ok to submit the ds160 when case is still in transit?

You can if you want to. The fee payment is valid for a year. However, if you want to be safe, perhaps wait till it says 'Ready' or when you finally hear from the embassy with Packet 3.

Ok thanks for your reply I remember you were the first one I started talking toi n visa journey how are you? How are things going for you?

I'm sure it's safe to do so.

 

Not sure what your NVC instructions were, but mine definitely told me to submit DS-160 while waiting for the consulate / embassy to send Packet 3.

It definitely didn't say "ready" at CEAC at that time for me, and I still submitted just fine.

 

Keep in mind you may need the numbers provided in that NVC letter / email to fill out the form.

I have been told to use the USCIS number while filling out the ds160.

I have already submitted the ds160, thanks. But what do you think is the perfect period of time between the medical exam and the interview?

It really depends on how long your local panel clinic usually takes to get a report ready. Like mine over here, we'd have to do it 2 weeks before the interview because it takes them 10 days to issue the report. You should call the clinic in Tunisia to ask them and they'd be able to tell you their processing time.

A friend of mine took him 3 days to get the results. Thanks again
