Adjustment of Status - Physical

My husband and I did the K1 visa and were married one month ago. We are currently getting his Adjustment of Status paperwork together and have everything ready except for one question we can't seem to agree on.

 

Hubs got his physical in the UK prior to his interview at the US Embassy in March.

He got all of his vaccinations up to date with the exception of a flu shot because it wasn't flu season.

Before moving over, he decided to get the flu shot with his local GP anyway because he didn't want to pay for it here.

 

Everything I've read says if he had a physical in the UK, he doesn't need another one when he gets here.

He's concerned about not having a USCIS doctor signing off that he did indeed get his flu vaccine bc our application may get processed after flu season starts on Oct. 1.

 

If it was just a matter of getting a doctor to sign a paper, I'd say who cares-- but the nearest Civil Surgeon is over an hour away from us and they charge $100+ to sign a piece of paper.

Most of the ones we're calling are telling us that it doesn't matter that he's already had a physical and that they have to do their own to be able to sign off and that would cost $300+.

 

We're on a single income right now and both of those amounts of money are a relatively big deal in our household.

The USCIS website is essentially useless and there's no number to call to ask a question and get a straight answer.

Look at his copy of the DS-3025 and see if it's marked complete. If it is then you're good to go, you just add a copy of it in the AOS package.
