SSN with K1, Am I an Alien allowed to work? SS-5 form

Hi guys

 

So I am now proceeding with the AOS, and I got married 2 days ago and now I want to go to get my SSN. I am only concerned with the terms in the SS-5 form.  It says that if you state you are an Alien NOT allowed to work, you might not need one.

 

With the k1 I know I am NOT allowed to work UNTIL i get the EAD. So, with this in mind, should I tick that I am not allowed to work? Or Alien allowed to work?

 

 

Any help would be really appreciated.

You are an alien allowed to work with DHS' permission.

You are an alien allowed to work with DHS approval as said above. But it is great to go ahead and get your SSN anyway and not waiting around for. This way you can go ahead and open up a bank account here and be put on insurance. So go ahead and get one because it's really easy to get as long as you have the right documents they need.
