John and Diana,

First you need a good fog buster. Second, you will need to grill someone at length until you get some real answers. Thirdly, attempt to smile because your prayers are always heard. (F)

can I get my flashlight back??? :(

seems like I need it again....I will pass it back to you later then....

Here... take my flashlight. Waiting for you to hear about your case if it gets to NVC is more pain in the rear than waiting for my schedules so I'm lending you my fog buster.

I hope you will finally hear from them... It's heart-wrenching that you had to wait again this time. I wish could some butts for you Diana.

I call every morning when the NVC opens and every night before they close .. still no record of my case ..

We have surpassed the "average" CSC to NVC timeline that I estimated by comparing timelines by almost 1 week now.

hmmm .. I hope the guy that was driving the FedEx truck that lost all of our applications when it wrecked and burned up wasn't hurt (it is amazing the things you can imagine when you are on the edge of your seat .. WAITING !!!)

I'm sure it will come today for all of us, they are just so busy processing the seasonal worker visas that the NVC is a little behind. I hope.

Hello everyone,

I called the NVC this morning at approx 7:40 am EST and the rep said they received our case on Apr 16!!! That was yesterday!!! :D:yes::dance: She also gave me our case number. I asked approx how long does it take the NVC to process the petition, and she stated about a week. Now, you know they always give an inflated timeframe, so maybe our case could be shipped by the end of this week! When I got off the phone, I was so happy and relieved I began to weep tears of joy. I called my fiance and he was also happy.

To John&Diana, Eli_y_Mauri, and the other couples who were approved on or about Mar 28: the NVC must have received your petitions too!! The USC should call them today to find out. I pray they've been received. Things are looking up again! I'm going to post this to the "Waiting for NVC" forum as well.

Also, on a very sad note. Please say a prayer (if you pray) for the families and community of Virginia Tech. I'm sure everyone has heard about this heinous act. I haven't been able to bring myself to read or watch the full details. It's just too horrific. I almost feel a little guilty for the joy I feel regarding our good news this morning. I tell you, there's always someone with problems far worse than your own. Take care VJ friends.

Well, after reading your post I went straight to the phone and called the NVC just knowing they would give me the good news but alas I got the same old thing from the guy...We have not receive your petition yet, what is the date...oh, it takes 2 to 4 weeks, give it a little more time <_< ...I wanted to shout Destiny's Journey's petition got there yesterday, WHERE THE HECK IS MINE?...but I refrained said thank you and hung up. But really if others in the same time frame are there shouldn't ours be there, too. OK, done whinning ...our's is probably there just not in the system yet...will call back tonight.

BTW...CONGRATS ON MAKING IT TO THE NVC

3 - 4 weeks is normal wait time.

Normal wait time for what? K1s to get to the NVC? Where are you getting that statistic? I'd be curious to see it.

Destiny - glad yours got there. Maybe that means some others stuck will follow yours soon. Still doesn't make any sense to me.

Just a quick update:

After calling and calling and calling for about 30 minutes last night after getting out, I finally was able to speak with someone at NVC who confirmed that our case had been received and assigned a case number.

Looks like they were stacking the petitions in a box for a couple of months to send out in bulk. Hope to read good news soon from others who've been waiting.

Yay!!! So glad to hear it's been received!!!! I've been thinking about you guys a lot and really hoping they would show it received soon. Once it goes from NVC to Frankfurt, Frankfurt is quick, and I have emailed them (Frankfurt) about things 3 different times and they always answer back in about a day.
