Hey guys,

as in our december thread already stated. We got approved at the 28th of March and now we are waiting for NVC to receive our case. It's in the 3rd week now and it get's frustrating as hell.

As I checked on other timelines, I saw, that nobody that received the NOA2 at the same day or after us didn't go through NVC yet either.

Just want to check if I saw that right and if yes, then let your anger out here :(

It was supposed to go sooooooooooo much faster after the NOA2 but yeah....I can't tell !!!! *sigh*

I hope that our prayers will be heard and this week will be it!

I take it you have tried to contact the NVC? If not I would do that and give them your case #, names and dates of birth (at least for the beneficiary). That is how I found out my case had been forwarded to Cuba. Also try calling around 7:30am EST. Good luck and hang in there!!!

This is TracyTN posting (under my fiance's screen name - sorry, too bone idle to log out and back in .

Anyway, are you guys noticing that you folks whose cases aren't getting to NVC were all approved around the same time (3/28 and 3/29)? Wonder if that days' post got lost or something?

I'd be inclined to let an elected official know and see if they can chase anything up. Give them the three of your case numbers and the dates of NOA2 and that you find it odd that all three of you are 'lost'. Perhaps said elected official could only 'officially' make an inquiry on the caller's particular case (as in is it stuck in some other 'review' after the NOA2 or what?), but I think you might have more of a leg to stand on if you had 'proof' of other lost cases.

Just an idea. I know I'd be considering it if we were stuck there.

I'm going to post this in the Dec filers thread too - but wasn't sure which thread you all would check first (so don't slam me for a double post :P

At the six weeks point, contact your congressman. They'll get it back on track if there's a problem. Until then, hang in there and keep calling/emailing the NVC. Make sure when you call, you actually talk to a person, as the automated system doesn't get updated for K1 visa info.

John and Diana,

First you need a good fog buster. Second, you will need to grill someone at length until you get some real answers. Thirdly, attempt to smile because your prayers are always heard. (F)

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

3 - 4 weeks is normal wait time.

yeah yeah yeah.....and it can take up to 90 days....YAWN

Sorry, but that exactly is the BS answer we always get when we talk to someone from NVC or USCIS.

It would be FINE if others wouldn't get theirs soooooooooooo much faster.

SO here am I again asking: WHY THE HELL IS IT TAKING SO DAMN LONG?!?!!?

I just don't like the standard answers....

I just wish the NVC had a website where you could check the status, or if you could check it on their automated system. It's difficult to reach a representative. I tried several times today and just couldn't get through.

I pray our petitions didn't get "lost". I've read about a couple of scenarios on VJ where the petitions were accidentally placed in some type of storage facility. We were so elated when our petition was approved. Now it seems to be taking so long for the NVC to receive it. It'll be 3 weeks tomorrow. :( I understand that the NVC handles petitions from all the SCs. I'm trying to be patient and understanding Lord, but it's so hard sometimes. It's so hard when your beloved lives across the ocean and you haven't kissed or held their hand in over 4 months. 4 long months.

I've been trying to use the time constructively. I just moved into my home in October, so I still have some unpacking to do (I'm a slow unpacker). I really want the place to look nice for his arrival. I don't want the poor man to come home to boxes! LOL. I'm also trying to get in shape for our wedding. We haven't even 'officially' started planning our wedding, or set a date for that matter. All we've decided on is our colors. He wants to wait until he gets his visa. That makes sense.

Ok, enough rambling. I'm praying for all of us to hear good news from the NVC this week! Take care all and keep the faith.

Shanon :star:
