Hi everyone,

First time on here. Basically, I want to visit my boyfriend of 3++ years in the US early next year with a B2 visa.

We're both Filipino (I'm 22, he's 24) and he has a Green Card after being petitioned by his father who is now a USC. He left a few weeks after our college graduation and I was thinking of visiting him for about 2 weeks early next year. I have a job as a full-time writer, a bank account, a car under my name, and my mother's current residency in the country as my proof of ties to the PH. I'm also a permanent resident of Hong Kong (if this information is relevant).

No way in hell am I going to lie to the officers regarding the situation, but I've read many stories about rejected B2 visas because of either fabricated stories or the assumption that they will go into hiding. Just to clarify, marriage is not an option so of course I'm not going to bring that up.

Considering my college + work + relationship background, full-time job, personal property, and my mum's residency, will my B2 visa have a higher chance of approval?

Thanks!

Chances are not high by default but its worth a try.

Let us know the result.

Hi, thanks for your reply! What documents do you think I can bring to prove this information? I don't want to seem too overwhelming, but I definitely don't want to be unprepared.

Unusual for any documents to be asked for.

I brought payslips, letter from my work, contract, previous passports with stamps.

None of it was looked at. I was approved.

More important is the answers to their questions
