As long as you're sure you'll be back before the 2-year card expires, it's fine to travel. If there's any chance you might be delayed, though, you'll want to wait until your extension letter (NOA) comes. Not sure how long that's taking these days, but you can probably look in the I-751 July 2017 filers thread, or also June 2017, to get an idea of that. Have a good trip!

Oh, wait -- forgot about biometrics. You don't want to miss them, which makes things a little trickier. If you do travel, keep a close eye on the June/July threads to estimate when biometrics might happen; if possible, have someone keep an eye on your mail, and make the trip as short as possible, or be prepared to come back early so you don't miss them.

I am pretty sure that i will be back before my 2 years GC expired. So are you sure that it is ok to travel? because i heard that a gc holder will not allow to travel out of the country within 6 months expires. and how long does it take them to make an appointment to have a biometrics. Because i will be back on sep 3 and i just submitted the form to remove a condition today.
