Question-- Translation of documents

Hi everyone

 

I have a concern, I would like to include some of my chat messages with my Fiancee as proof of our ongoing relationship but our conversations are in Spanish, in the "Optional Checklist for form I-129F) it asks for "Certified English translations of any non-English documents" do we need to get someone that is certified to do translations or can anyone do it as long as they certified that the translation is correct and they include their personal information?

 

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

You can self translate. Add the following at the bottom of the translation: 

 

Certification by Translator

I [typed name], certify that I am fluent (conversant) in the English and ________ languages, and that the above/attached document is an accurate translation of the document attached entitled ______________________________.
