That "scientific" consensus was based in the clear Word of God, not science.

And today's "scientific" consensus is based on something that resembles religion (or a cult) not science.

A better analogy might be the Bible thumping flat earther's vs emerging science back in the day proving that the earth is round and additionally not the center of the universe roughly ten thousand years old and created in a week. Climate change deniers are really just today's flat earther's, but use bloviation instead of death sentences 'because they are right.'

I don't think anyone has actually denied that the climate changes. Most rational people however understand that the climate changes primarily because of solar activity. Not cow farts and SUVs.

Same thing, refusing to acknowledge that Humanity is  exacerbating climate change is just as bad, if not worse than saying that climate change isn't happening. Sorry, the evidence at this point is just too great, to be pretending that climate change is just a giant conspiracy drempt up by the world's elites, and supported by pretty much the entire world's scientific community. You will always have crack pots who say that they know better, and that the scientific community has been bought off, which besides being wrong, it is also highly ironic, considering how the oil and gas industries have used considerable resources, to generate lots of highly questionable research, in an effort to discredit climate change. The same questionable research, climate change deniers seem more than happy to peddle  in order to support their ideology about climate change being a hoax. Everyone is crazy, but themselves, and all scientists who disagree with their seriously flawed ideology are all fake scientists.

So true. The man made climate change is almost a perfect hoax that millions have fallen for.

First of all doctored computer models are not evidence. Secondly as discussed earlier at one point the scientific consensus was that the earth is flat. Scientific consensus alone is meaningless. It is debatable whether there actually is a scientific concensus in the first place as the IPCC added a bunch of scientists to their list that didnt agree with their conclusions. Third if you look at what the big oil companies are doing you will see they are actually pedaling the global warming conspiracy theory as an excuse to jack up gas prices.

So you're saying that it's impossible for one scientific community to be bought off while saying another scientific community is bought off.

No, I didn't say that. I just find it hard to believe people who say that, the vast majority of the scientific community is wrong, and that we should just believe the ones they happen to agree with. Crazy idea, I know.

Nope. Better narrow your criteria to fit that narrative.

Like I said above. The majority of scholars in the middle ages didn't think the earth was flat, and the people did believe it was flat we're not scientists, and did not use logic any scientific reasoning to formulate their conclusions.

Now you are just writing jiberish and are attempting to imply their is any serious disagreement on the matter. There is not.

Now you are talking crazy, have you seen gas prices lately? Moving to alternative fuels would if anything, cause oil prices to fall. I thought you right wingers were all experts on the laws of supply and demand? Apparently not.

That's why they cite the 90-something consensus..  and the irrelevant popular vote..

Its pretty clear tyranny by majority is their modus operandi. Has nothing to do with science as the left try and liken themselves to. This is a resurgence of religious movements of yore that tried to use "god" as a crutch for their political movements because of the presumption that everything religion was true,  therefore insert "god"  into equation and get your way without challenge. The left think this will work for science when in fact they damage science by associating themselves with it.

Of course climate change is real. It happens everyday.  I remember when climate change was global warming.

Agreed.  I know the scientific papers I write don't go through a referendum process to garner a consensus.  Most scientists I know will put forth hypotheses, or theories, do some experiments and write papers.  If other scientists in that peer group provide feedback, or comments, discussions occur which generally leads to more hypotheses/theories and more experiments.  I have yet to see a referendum vote on any paper/subject in science.

Heck, I still remember when it was global cooling.
