Embassy and number of visits

Hey there,

 

My Egyptian fiance received job offers from 2 different countries, Bolivia and Kuwait. We want to submit our I129F application and start our K1 process sometime this year. I know some embassies are harder than others. In our case, which US embassy would be better to go through for the interview, the one in Bolivia or Kuwait? 

 

Also, I know that a lot of times COs somewhat make their decision before the interview when they review the application. We have seen each other 6 times so far. Is that enough visits or do we need more?

Both embassies will focus on your fiance's Egyptian background, and it's hard to say which country will be 'better' for the interview. I would maybe guess Bolivia might be the quicker embassy to go through, but that is just speculation on my end. MENA countries tend to take a long time in terms of interview scheduling, administrative processing, ect. Honestly I would chose the country that your fiance prefers to live and work in. 

 

As for the number of visits, I would say that 6 is already way more than the average number of visits that are usually made during the K1 process. For MENA countries, it's tough to get a visa with just 1 visit, but 2 or more visits help your case a lot. 6 should certainly be enough, unless it was 6 visits made over the last 15 years or something. I made 5 total visits within 2 years (going through Morocco consulate) and I think the number of visits really helped to make the interview super easy.

Thanks for your input. It was 6 visits over the last year. We went together to Egypt twice, UAE, Canada, twice to Costa Rica,.

Great, I definitely wouldn't worry about the number of visits then, you've got plenty!
