Hi Guys,

Just wondering if you know whether you can email the Sydney Consulate to request an early interview if you have all of your documents ready and fees paid?

Thanks

Hey there.  We were assigned an appointment in January 2017, emailed a request for a December 2016 appointment and received it.  The following is the email we sent on 08-Dec-2016.

To:  support-australia@ustraveldocs.com
Subject:  Case number SYD2016999999

Name:
Case number:  SYD2016999999
Email addresses:
DS-160 Confirmation Number:  AA006AAAA9
MRV Fee Receipt Number 16199999

My profile has been created at USTravelDocsand the fee has been paid.  I completed my medical with Dr Elizabeth Sinclair in Perth on {date} and have all the necessary documents ready for the interview.  I would greatly appreciate the earliest interview appointment available, including 20-Dec-2016.  I can be in Sydney for the interview with 4 days notice.

We attached the Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application (DS-160) confirmation to the email.

Good luck!

Hi @skywheel:) I have a few questions about the I-134 form I'm hoping you could help with? (My Sydney interview is coming up very soon!).

My fiance is above the 100% poverty guidelines requirement. From what I've read, Sydney only require the 100%. Is this correct?

He also has 'rounded' figures on the I-134 form; not exact ones. So for example, his salary on the I-134 form is rounded up to the nearest thousand; so it's very slightly different to what's on his tax return. Is this going to be an issue? Does the I-134 info have to match the supporting documents EXACTLY?

And finally - my fiance is self-employed, so we've included his latest tax return, along with his latest few months of pay stubs. Is this correct?

Thanks in advance for any help! :)

Not sure on this one.

My numbers on the I-134 were rounded and did not exactly match my tax return or tax transcripts.

I included my most recent 3 years of tax transcripts and my full tax return only for the most recent year.  You can get tax transcripts for free from https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript.  The I-134 instructions request

If self-employed:

(1) Copy of last income tax return filed; or

(2) Report of commercial rating concern.

I didn't have a report of commercial rating concern so I included the tax transcripts.  I have had my business for a number of years and wanted to show income over the last few years.  I don't have pay stubs but rather invoices and payments against those invoices.  There are a lot of varying opinions on visa journey about sending 1040s, full tax returns or transcripts.  I was being very cautious - and perhaps that was overkill.  :-)
