If you go to the NVC address here: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/collect-and-submit-forms-and-documents-to-the-nvc/step-6-submit-documents-to-the-nvc.html

You will see that every Monday they publishes the date of applications that they are currently working on. It says: "As of 27-JAN-2020, we are reviewing documents submitted to us on 25-NOV-2019".   Therefore, theoretically they should have started working on your case just recently (perhaps this week or next). Hope this helps.

Essentially, there is an estimated 53.88 days delay (this has steadily increased an average 5 days during the last 8 weeks) between each start of the week (Monday) and the date of applications they are processing. Hope this helps.

Obviously it means your case just needs further review than normal. It could be for any number of reasons to be quite frank -- it's just so broad what they might be taking a further look at. In the meantime, to prepare just in case they ask you to confirm or verify anything in your applications (and to save sanity not worrying unceasingly and maybe unnecessarily), you can do over and double check all the documentation you've submitted. Since you got an RFE, you might want to mentally evaluate if you can get more evidence or information validating your relationship. You can also consider if your financial sponsorship is strong, you could think if there are other sponsors whom you may be able to tap). Really, try not to stress it too much or over think it. Just double check all your submitted documents and make sure they are legally sound and meets the NVC's criteria. Hope this helps.

Hello

Thank you for your reply.

And yes, I got RFE for bonafide marriage. So we sent a lot of stuff like:

1. Sworn Affidavit statement of me, my husband, and the ones who attended the wedding. We sent 5 Affidavits in total.

2. We sent our honeymoon pics

3. We sent airplane tickets and boarding passes names on it.

4. We sent hotel receipt both our names on it.

5.  My husband bought a ring for me during honey moon trip. We sent that receipt too.

6. We went to see many places in our honeymoon so we sent all that.

So my question to you is...

1.  Do you think NVC is processing all that we sent as RFE at USCIS STAGE.  And so it's taking much time.

2. Do you think I should call every week twice or thrice to NVC to get any update on my case... Hope they not irritated with that.

3. God forbid, if in case it exceeds 90 days and still I didn't hear anything from them. What you advise me to do??

Hope to hear soon from you.

Since you've sent so much info validating your marriage, I really doubt this is an area they are securitizing (if any at all). It could be some other area of your application, or none at all. It may very well be that they simply needs more time than normal to process all your info (really, it is a bit more documentation than then normal). Like I said, don't over stress it. Just as when you got your RFE, I am sure you probably stressed about that too (hence the rationale behind the many documents). But as you now realize, once you've done your homework and provide reasonably well established and sufficient evidence, it all worked out just fine (your petition was approved). Just have some faith this is the case here at NVC (and going forward). I would probably just set a reminder in my phone to call them once a week (I think twice or more is unnecessary as it will not produce any quicker results -- just stress).

What country are you in? It might depend on the visa bulletin, other factors can be background check or even just backlog from all the cases to forwarding to your consulate. A request of expedite can be done if you want to try, just make sure you have valid reason.

I am from India... Expedite won't work as it needs a strong reason..

Yes.. you are right. We sent a lot, I forgot to mention that we also sent our chats and even the money order receipt. So I should give them more time. And stop over thinking. But definitely will call once in a week. Thank you for your reply. It makes me feel so relaxed now.
