Out of my understanding is if we check the processing time in USCIS site it goes back and forth and never crossed Dec 2016.

I see March 7, 2017 approval here. Wondering is it in CSC?(for my own excitement :) ).

Mine PD is March 17, 2017. Should i expect any updates on my case in November based on conversation here?

You should expect to hear something any time now. You can join this facebook group, people report their approvals there. Keep checking your case status online. Good luck!

Hi Guys! My PD is July 17,2017 at CSC. Has any 2017 filers received an approval yet? Also, can anyone explain to me NOA1 and NOA2? ☺️ My husband usually just updates me about this so i’m not really familiar with the process. Thank you 😊

NOA1 is the first notice of approval, meaning the letter you receive after you first file and get the receipt number. NOA2 comes much later - depending on your service center (California is taking around 20 months), so notice of approval 2 is the letter you receive to say petition approved we will send to NVC etc etc July 2017 is still a few months away yet - I saw this morning the first April 2017 approval so I'd say 3 months from now you could be getting your approval :) Hope that all makes sense lol

hello... plz suggest nvc send translate documents is required certified or not ??

The translation must include a statement signed by the translator stating that:

The translation is accurate, and

The translator is competent to translate.

Got the above from the website here https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/collect-and-submit-forms-and-documents-to-the-nvc/step-5-collect-supporting-documents.html

Yes, there are lot of March and possibly lot of February filers still waiting for their approvals from CSC. Mine is March 28, 2017 and still waiting. We should hear sometimes in December or January.

Should I call and ask? I hope so we hear from them in a few weeks rather than wait all that long. They do promise first come first served (Hence the priority dates). I don't understand why this is happening

You can call but they can't do anything other than asking to wait. Sooner or later we are gonna hear from them with the NO2 results anyway. Even after the approval from CSC we still have to wait from few to several months for the priority dates to be current to schedule for a visa interview. We still have long way to go. At least half an year from now to get to visa interview. For the CSC approvals, they don't seam to work strictly on priority dates, but rather within time range of 18-24 months. That is why some people are approved a month/s earlier than the others. But we don't have to worry about CSC, we have to worry about visa bulletin from NVC for the priority dates to be current. I was just like you at the beginning, but after lot of research and reading I can do nothing but wait :)
