Interview experience

I filed my I-751 in February 14, 2016 and it took about 17 months to go to interview and that was yesterday, July 12,2017. The lady who interviewed me seems like all the documents that we provided was missing to her. She had to look over and over till she found them. My wife was on my medical,joint bank account, leases in both names, insurance in both names,we don't file tax together because she owes IRS alot of money and she advised me to file separately but as married but filling separate and apart from that everything was in our names. We just moved to her mother's house because she is 85 years old and she asked us to come and live with her and be paying her mortgage because my wife was the only daughter alive right now. And yesterday my wife was not able to attend the interview because she has a doctor's appointment for enterology (having something in her intestines that's was causing her pains all the times checked). So I asked her to go to the doctors appointment because her health also matter the most and I I'll go to the interview and explain to the IO and then doctors office can fax the doctors note to USCIS after she check out. I went and explain why she wasn't able to attend the interview because of her health and after the interview,the lady(IO) told me that, she can't say if I am approved or denied. Now my question is that would my wife health issue give us a denial for my removal of condition?? Now all what the IO said was that she will send us letter in the mail. She took my 2 passport photograph

No, but if someone files a joint petition and is called for interview, should the USC spouse fail to attend, it results in a denial - unless you add a divorce waiver at the interview (not applicable to you, obviously).

 

Get that doctors note to them as a matter of urgency.

Was the hospital appointment an emergency or she had time to book an appointment and couldn't add a note? Couldn't the Dr's visit have taken place before the interview date?

You could get denied for this.

According to the Doctors office, they can't give us appointment notice until she checked out.But she gave me a note explaining about the situation and even asked if the interview can be re-scheduled. Even though the appointment was not emergency but very very important as it got something to do with her intestines,we tried to get it done before the interview date but all the days were booked.We wanted to get the doctors appointment cancelled but i decided that,her health is also very important as the date that Dr office is giving us is far and i don't want anything to happen to her. So She typed me a note explaining everything about the doctors appointment and asked in the note if the interview can be re-scheduled as i already said.So if in case i got denial(God Forbid),what shall we do next?
