Hello!

We have out interview appointment next week and as I was going over paper work noticed my attorney left out a section where it reads that if you have previously sponsored someone to add the number in the box(which I did 1 person 7 years ago). Then total it as the end of section 5. Sponsor Household Size. Well he left that out and it's 2 when it should be 3. We have enough income to cover so that's not a problem. My question is can I bring a revised one to the interview even if they haven't asked for one. This is really taking our sleep away and we want to clarify before they think that we are trying to lie. Like I said our income covers and there is no need for us not to clarify.

Yes I would recommend taking an updated Affidavit of support to the interview. If they ask for one then present the updated on and let them know why you had to update it. If they don't ask then well and good. Better safe than sorry.

But if my wife doesn't present it before they ask is that lying or hiding?

That is a tricky question. If you have sufficient income then she can just mention to them that she has an updated AOS due to a mistake on the old one.

I switched jobs during the process so I did a new AOS and I'll be sending to the interview with my husband. If they ask for it he will present it the updated one.

You can send an updated one to be carried to the interview, but if the person you sponsored is now a US citizen, that part was answered correctly.  It asked if you sponsored anyone who is now a Lawful Resident.  After 7 years, they may well be a citizen, not a green card holder.

How about if I dint make a copy of the affidavit I just sent it to NVC? Should I take a new affidavit to the interview?
