Agonizing Wait Between Sydney Interview and K1 Visa Issuance

Hey guys,

 

My fiancee and I seem to be experiencing a longer than normal wait time than is typical of the Sydney Consulate.  

 

A short timeline:

 

Sydney interview and verbal approval pending medical results:  June 27th

Successful medical results sent to Sydney Consulate:  June 28th

Last CEAC update on our case:  July 5th

Current case status as of today (July 13th):  Administrative Processing

 

We are now coming up on the 13th business day without issuance and the wait is becoming agonizing for both of us.  Our original plan was to reunite on July 20th, but this unusual wait time is making the odds of that happening look bleak.  Has anyone been in this situation, or can anyone offer tips or advice?  Everything has been a breeze up to this point.

 

On a side note, does anyone know why our K1 Non-Immigrant visa is labelled as an "Immigrant visa" on the CAEC status check??

I just received an email today 18th July that my visa has been issued! 3 weeks later. Hang in there

Thanks for your post!  It gave me and my fiancee an adrenaline shot of hope that we will be receiving the same email ourselves soon.  

 

We're still in AP as of this post, but fingers crossed!

Any progress yet? I had my interview on July 25th so be good to get some kind of idea on how long it's taking at the moment.
