Yeah no. Sorry :( Others have already told you. Nebraska is experiencing even more delays. It was 5 months then 7, now 8-9. Ridiculous. I sent mine in February and If I'm lucky I'll be with my husband before next Summer....

But hey count your blessings! you've been living with your wife, that's way more than a lot of us can say. I'm approaching 11 months long distance, and we can't live together  so we see each other every few months or so, for a few days or a week at most. Thinking of maybe spending a full month together  in December. This waiting game is the worst game I've ever played, it really tests your relationship, patience, strength.

Hey so typicially USCIS takes about five months to review the file. If all goes well it takes about a month for them to transfer the file to NVC. Currently NVC takes 11 weeks to review to the file and then another month to month and a half to schedule the interview. If everything goes well at the NVC stage and you don't get any checklists or anything it takes about 12 months  till the interview from the begining to the end. One thing I would suggest is getting a head start on getting your PCC since that seems to take a while in India. I am giving you all this information based on my personal experience. Also please join us in the NVC India Forum so you can get some tips as to how the process will work from hereon.

Hey, can you please share the link to NVC India form? What is PCC?

Thanks man! Is it recommended to order this while NOA1 is in process?

I am stuck at Nebraska service center, and looking at another 3 months solid before my case is reviewed.

The PCC is  valid for six months I think. But sometimes they make you get a new passport with your spouse's name on it before you can get a PCC. I would recommend going to the local PSK and making sure if you'd have to get a new passport or not first.

I see okay. I found this link in the thread you have given: http://www.visapro.com/Immigration-Articles/?a=1447&z=39

I will have my spouse visit the passport office next week to find out if they need a name change to be done prior to obtaining the passport.

If they require the name change, do I have to do anything with I-130 that I already filed to update the names or anything of that sort?

So here's what happened to us. We submitted the I130. USCIS approved everything and then when my husband went to apply for a PCC at the local passport office they said that he has to get a new passport first with my name on it. I called NVC and found out if having two passports would be an issue and they said no.

I see, got it. When did you guys happen to apply for PCC? After the case has been registered at NVC or while I-130 is in progress.  The link I shared earlier suggests that one has to wait until the case is received and registered by NVC before applying for PCC. Is that true?

Yes we waited till our case got to NVC. But then we submitted the wrong kind of PCC (Got it from the police station instead of the Passport office). We got a checklist for that. When my husband went to get it from the Passport office they made him get a new passport and the entire process from applying for a new passport to getting the PCC took about 6 weeks.

Oh, so sorry to hear that. Do you know if it is mandatory to wait until the case is received by NVC? I will browse through the NVC threads as well to get an idea of this.

I am not sure on that. All I know is that the PCC does expire.
