OPT timeline

Hi everyone,

 

USCIS received my OPT application on May, 26th. I need to start my internship on August, 21st, but I have a drug test scheduled for August, 16th (I am currently outside of the country) . I will be working for an international bank in NYC (the internship is paid). Should I try to get my process expedited and claim severe financial loss, or should I just take the risk and see if everything works out fine and I get my EAD card before the start date?
