How does old U-Visa application affect AOS?

Hi guys.

So, I have been awaiting progress on my AOS case since March/April. Interview was on March 1st. You can view my other posts here and here if you wish.

My concern is that I just got off the phone with immigration's, the officer told me that he can't access my file/case, it looks like it's blocked. On asking him what could cause them to block / lock a case, he told me that that happens where there was an S- or a U- visa previously filed. That's when I remembered that many moons ago, I had filed a U- visa!

My case went only as far as fingerprints, then I never heard from them again. The experienced that caused me to file that visa wasn't pleasant, as you can imagine, I wanted to forget about that whole thing, so I packed my bags and moved to Vegas, as you do! :D

The officer told me to file an infopass. I already have, just waiting for the date. My question to you is: Do you know how such stories end? Is the fact that I have filed this case previously an issue? (In case you're wondering, I did ask the officer this but didn't get a direct answer).

What has your experience been? I would appreciate if you chimed in on my other posts as well as I am in such limbo, my head is spinning.

Thanks

Without any background difficult to comment, sounds like you have been in the US for quite some time.
