Hi all!

I just signed up with visajourney, and I am not completely sure if I am doing the right thing with creating a new topic, I would welcome corrections if necessary as guidance to how should I start as a new member and wanting to gain answers from others.

I am petitioned by my husband, he was granted immigrant status through EB3, he petitioned me as a following to join beneficiary. Fast forward to its approval Nov 3, 2016. If only NVC handled my physical files right we would have been finished with the entire process. However the stark opposite happened, they lost my files and we started all over again from USCIS point. And finally June 17 this year, we received welcome letter from the NVC. We finished everything from DS 261, DS 260, IV FEES and sending them our documents both IV/Aos documents. After a day, I requested for  expedite processing and was approved a couple of days after. On July 07, we were informed by NVC via mail that our case was sent to the US EMBASSY in Manila. And my NVC case status says"READY"as of July 09. Actually, I have already scheduled an interview (last week July 07) my interview appointment is set on July 28. However, when I called USEM today, I was informed to wait for the eligibility letter before proceeding to the interview appointment. I asked them, how long should I wait to receive it and they cannot provide me an approximate time. I reminded them this is an expedite case and I scheduled my interview being under the impression that it will not take long for my case to be ready, secondly, the representative I spoke to last week to schedule my appointment confirmed to me that I can go ahead and choose my interview date. I am anxious because my interview is set already and eligibility letter might not arrive on time.

Has anyone ever ran into this same situation? Please advise. Thank you very much. God bless.

Hi! I came across your post in my search for answers for the same situation you were in last July.  May I know if you got your eligibility letter before the interview?  I have scheduled my interview as soon as I saw "Ready" on CEAC, ahead of any advice from the USEM. Would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks.

Hi. I never got the eligibility letter. But

I called them several times if I could proceed to my interview date without the eligibility letter and I asked if my physical files are actually with them and would be ready when I come for my interview.

Weeks prior to my interview date they have always said they can't be sure if they could accomodate me without the eligiblity letter.

Close to my interview date they finally put me in and said Yes I can come on my scheduled date and my files are ready.

Just keep calling them before you come in even without the letter.

Hi! We are also in the same situation you were in last year. We  paid the fees at NVC and sent all the documents to them. I was wondering if you had to bring originals to the interview like a newly signed Affidavit of Support form. We still have not received the eligibility letter from the embassy (and it might never get to us before our interview schedule). I am kinda lost what documents my stepson (beneficiary) need to bring during the interview. Thanks in advance for your reply.
