Hi all,

I'm looking ahead at the I-134 Affidavit of Support and have a few questions for all of you experienced with this:

1) I just got my first "real" job (not part time, not during school etc) and make well above the poverty line, but I don't have much of a history as far as income goes., and I don't really have savings since I started my job very recently.

2) I have SIGNIFICANT student loans. Does this information need to be disclosed and if so, will it hurt me even though I have a decent salary now?

All of that being said, does this sound like a situation where I should file jointly with my parents?

Any advice is GREATLY appreciated!!

1) The important thing is your current expected annual income. Submit copies of your pay stubs and a letter from your current employer to prove your income meeting or is above the poverty guideline.

2) There is no field asking about your outstanding student loan. There's no need to disclose.

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.
