My progress report and question :)

Here is my progress so far for Illinois
 

June 27th - mailed my application

July 6th - cashed check

July 10th - received notice of acceptance of my application.

July 11th- Scheduled for fingerprints (Just one day after my letter of acceptance came in! note that I have not gotten a physical appointment letter yet I just saw online that it was mailed)

 

so that is my progress so far. I am terrified/excited at the same time! I will update here after I receive my appointment letter in the mail!

Here is my question:
when i check the website it shows that currently USCIS is processing applications from September 1st 2016. does that mean that the information isn't up to date or does that mean after my fingerprints I will have to wait my turn?

You will have to wait to be scheduled for the interview, and might take several good months. Each field office processes applications at different speeds though. Make sure you enter your field office to get an idea about their processing times. If September 1st 2016 is there, that means your local office is currently processing applicants who sent their stuff around that date. Also, it might be a good idea for you to join the July 2017 applicants topic for additional support.

Do you know if my online status on the USCIS page will change once my biometrics are done/processed or it won't say anything until I get scheduled for my interview?

At some point,  your status will become "in line for the interview." This status will remain like this for a while until you get the interview scheduled. Dont forget to join the July filers topic!
