That is an interesting take and I believe it applies to the media as well.  The media likes to portray itself as unbiased, intellectual, etc., with their hard news stories, but some people are beginning to see through the headlines and news stories to see them for what they truly are.

" obama probably wasn't a christian or a muslim, bush tried to come off southern, the media attempts to portray themselves as unbiased" blah blah. marketed personas are inevitable when a person or entity is in the public eye and mass marketed. and trump is marketed as a straight shooter, fantabulous savior of business, receiver of the laying of hands by the fundies as the anointed one..and in reality, he's none of these things. why is it unacceptable that those who don't support trump aren't simply seeing him for what he truly is instead of oh...butthurt over an election? pls explain. thanks.

Exactly. 

 

Hence why alternative media sources are becoming more popular, as well as citizen journalism on the ground via media streaming outlets like Periscope, Twitch, Ustream, etc.
